Indian Head Massage is an ancient form of massage dating back 5000 years or more to Ayurvedic times. It has long been practised in India as part of the rich tradition of family grooming: the techniques were originally developed by women to keep heir hair strong and lustrous; today it is performed as part of the treatment given by barbers mainly to invigorate, stimulate and refresh. The Westernised style of IHM involves massage of
the upper back, shoulders, arms, neck, head and face. It still retains
